KLCSI attended the Kuala Lumpur Low Carbon Society workshop held at the DBKL Training Centre, Jalan Yaakob, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur from 22-23 August 2016. During the event, ten areas were identified for Kuala Lumpur where the city could reduce carbon emissions to meet Malaysia’s national goal of a 45% reduction (according to 2005 levels) by 2030. The ten areas are land use, transportation, energy systems, green growth, low carbon green buildings, community, blue-green network, water management, waste management and urban governance.
