Dr. Thomas Tang, Managing Director

A Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), Dr. Tang has been working in the sustainability practice sector for over 20 years and his work places great emphasis on urban development in Asia and the challenges faced by cities in coming up with solutions for liveability in densely packed and congested spaces. He was previously based in Hong Kong, where he was an advisor to the Council for Sustainable Development between 2004 and 2008, and has served on a number of committees and think tanks for improving Hong Kong’s environment. In 2012, Dr. Tang co-authored “Global Best Practices in Sustainable Urban Development”, a review of 55 cities worldwide and their best practices in sustainability. Dr. Tang is also an Honorary Fellow of the College of Estate Management (UK), an Associate Member of the International Construction Business Management Research Group at the University of Technology Malaysia, and a former President of the Institute of Management Consultants (HK).


Wan Amrul Mustapha, Associate

Wan Amrul Mustapha’s qualifications and experience are in architecture engineering and industrialization, strategic planning and innovation strategy, design and technology insights, sustainable design, green technologies, multimedia design and strategy, knowledge management strategy, design thinking and business model generation. His role in KLCSI is mainly to bridge the gap through innovation by applied research and development+innovation+value creation into future products, processes and technology. He brings a unique blend of real world experience and theory in design, technology and innovation. Wan headed the R&D unit of Sime Darby Property Bhd before joining KLCSI.


Michelle Anthony Rajoo, Sustainability Consultant 1

Michelle has a background in Geology and hails from the oil and gas industry where she had 4 years experience as a Seismic Processing Geophysicist. As a Sustainability Consultant in KLCSI, she is involved in the management of sustainable development projects which include community initiatives, living labs and consulting assignments. Michelle is also involved in market research and business development activities for the centre.


Richie Choye, Researcher

Richie has a degree in Environmental Management from Monash University Malaysia, where her field of study included plant biology, environmental chemistry, ecosystems, biodiversity, conservation of natural resources, microbiology, genetics and biotechnology. She appreciates living things, and is therefore interested in the well-being of organisms such as animals and plants and their interactions within a sustainable ecosystem. She also loves innovation and believes that human development and technological achievement can and need to be done responsibly in balance with nature.


Siti Norsaedah Bt Mohd Eusoff, Project Assistant

Siti manages KLCSI’s day-to-day operational, administrative and financial matters and supports in the facilitation of thought leadership events and workshops. A Business Studies graduate, Siti has over 3  years of experience in administrative, finance and human resource operations. She joined KLCSI to be part of a dynamic team that explores and develops ideas and solutions to make KL a better place. Outside of work, Siti enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends.
